Gary Dackin
Our pastor, Gary Dackin (wife Cynthia), started Victory Baptist Church over 40 years ago after completing his preparation for the ministry at Bible School in Michigan. Originally from Ohio, pastor Gary became a Christian in 1971 and has, by the grace of God, walked with the Lord since. He is committed to faithfully preaching and teaching God’s Word to those the Lord gives him, and he is an avid witness for the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, speaking with anyone the Lord would put in his path.
We are very thankful for a faithful pastor and pray for him, that God would keep him so!
What we are thankful for:
And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding. [Jer 3.15]
What we greatly benefit from:
And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ… [Eph 4.11-12]
What we pray for:
1 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry. [2Tim 4.1-5]
