Greg Kedrovsky

Our Sunday School teacher, Greg Kedrovsky (wife Sue), is one of our newest members. He teaches Sunday School and preaches on Wednesday nights. Greg became a Christian in the Fall of 1988 while studying business and accounting at Central Missouri State University (now the University of Central Missouri) in Warrensburg, Missouri. Shane Sanderson (now the founder and director of a wonderfully fruitful orphanage in Guatemala) witnessed to Greg several times and led him to the saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. Greg met Sue soon after graduating (she was his supervisor at his first job out of university).
Greg was trained up in the ministry from 1991 through 1995 at the Kansas City Baptist Temple (KCBT) under the pastorates of Jeff Adams, Bob Alexander, and Alan Shelby. KCBT ordained Greg and sent him (and Sue, of course!) out as missionaries to Latin America in 1995. Greg and Sue spent two years in Bogotá, Colombia, working with La Biblia Dice church and focusing on learning language and culture. In 1997 God moved them to San José, Costa Rica, where Greg was an associate pastor under Oscar Pereira at Emmanuel Baptist in an area of town called Hatillo.
After about three or four years at Emmanuel Baptist, Greg started a new church on the opposite (east) side of San José by the University of Costa Rica: La Iglesia del Este (Eastside Church). Greg was the pastor of Eastside Church for ten years, until God led him and his family (now with three kids, all born in Costa Rica) back to the United States in January of 2011. Eastside Church is still doing well, and the leaders there have started a new church, La Iglesia del North (pastor: Carlos Salazar), and an Hispanic Ministry in Kansas City, at the Midtown Baptist Temple (pastor: Will Mata).
When Greg and his family got back to the States in 2011, he started Harvest Baptist Church in Olathe, Kansas. Greg was pastor of that new church plant for three years.
Greg enjoys studying his Bible (in English and Spanish), preaching and teaching God’s people, and open-air preaching on the streets and college campuses (especially with Shawn Holes!). If you would like to know more about Greg, he has a fairly large “digital footprint” and you can “check him out” here:
